*Tauranga, New Zealand - August 31, 2009* - EOL (Enternet Online Ltd), a pioneer and leading provider of carrier-class broadband wireless networks, has been selected by Ookla Net Metrics as the first New Zealand Mirror and Beta tester for their new free online Ping Test service. Ookla is the global leader in web-based network diagnostic applications, including the world leading application SpeedTest.Net.
EOL's CEO Terry Coles says "While we already host Ookla's Speedtest.Net site the new Ping Test offers new and exciting features such as Jitter, Packet Loss and Latency analysis." This troubleshooting tool grades your connection on how well it is likely to handle things like voice services (VoIP), streaming music or video and telecommuting" says Mr Coles. "Adding a quality online Broadband analyser to our services is just one of the tools we are putting in place to compliment our new VoIP service which is also in Beta testing right now" he adds.
The addition of Ookla's Ping Test to EOL's service is timed to coincide with the launch of EOL's new website in September 09, and VoIP service in October 09. Ping Test will be available to the public upon completion of the Beta testing phase sometime around the end of September. Mr Coles says "We expect huge support for Ping Test as customers check their connections to see if they meet the quality standard in preparation for our long awaited VoIP service in October". |
